Relaxing Foot Soak

After a stressful, tiring, long day a foot soak can be just the thing to help you unwind and relax. A foot soak or foot bath is a wonderful way to repay our feet. When our feet are tired then our whole body feels tired. When our feet feels good, our whole body feels good.

Here's an easy, simple and cheap recipe for a relaxing foot soak.
  • Prepare bowl of warm water
  • Add the juice of two calamansi
  • Sit comfortably in your favorite chair.
  • Soak your feet in the warm water with calamansi juice.
  • Relax depending on how long you want.
  • Rinse off.

In addition to a relaxing and calming feeling, your feet will be softer.

Try it!

Natural Homemade Facial Mask

Here's a natural and easy to make facial mask. It can be used for any skin types even sensitive skin. It cleans, moisturizes, softens and whitens your skin. It also helps dry pimples.

You only need two inqredients usually available in the pantry: Evaporated milk (or any liquid milk) and calamansi, the Philippine lime (or lemon or lime).
  • In a small bowl, squeeze the juice of 1 regular size calamansi (approximately 1 tablespoon). Remove the seeds.
  • Add 4 tablespoons of milk.
  • Mix the two together until it forms a curdling, rich, creamy texture. Note: You may experiment on the calamansi and milk proportion depending on how much acidity you want in the mixture.
  • Now that tha facial mask is ready, make sure that your face is clean. Rinse your face with water then dry it.
  • Clean your hands and use your fingers to apply the mixture on your face and neck. Make sure to avoid the eyes.
  • Leave the mask for about 5 to 10 minutes or until it is completely dry. Your face will feel tighter as the mask dries up.
  • To remove the mask, rinse your face and neck with plain, warm water. Dry off.

Now feel and see the difference!

You can do this once a week or once a month.
I first tried this when I was in high school and I still use this up to know although not as frequent anymore. My face has remained smooth and soft.

Eskinol Facial Cleaner

I had been using Eskinol Facial Cleanser for a long time now. I started using it when I was in high school. I had been using it daily not just for the face but for the whole body.

There are many variants but I specifically use Eskinol Natural Calamansi: "Enriched with the natural skin whitening and cleaning properties of real calamansi. It also has vitamin C which keeps skin healthy."

It really removes dirt and makes skin tone even - lightens blemishes, scars. It is like a toner and leaves skin smooth, refreshed and clean.

You can order Eskinol Natural Calamansi Facial Cleanser and other personal care items online, from KabayanCentral.com, the World's Filipina Personal Care Products Store.
